Filling Your Home with Fall

While here in Santa Clarita, we are experiencing warm weather, we are looking forward to the cooler weather and the Fall Decor that comes with the Fall months here in California.

Bring the Outside In

One of the easiest and budget-friendly ways to make it feel more like Fall throughout your home is to bring natural elements inside. We live in California, and while we don’t have leaves falling everywhere, make it a fun family outing to visit one of our local outdoor spaces like Towsley Canyon, Placerita Canyon, and collect some pine cones, and put them in a large glass jar on top of a mantle or shelf. Another fun activity, is creating a pine cone garland for your fireplace!

Of course, the most classic way to bring the beauty of fall indoors is by going to your local pumpkin patch.

Hang Up a Fall Wreath

Fall is the season of wreaths! Local craft stores are a wonderful place to pick up materials to make your own. If you’re not a DIY lover, then check out Etsy for handmade work that is certain to be a great addition to your space.

Create a Fall Centerpiece

Decorate your table with a centerpiece made from fall flowers, pumpkins, leaves, pine cones, and of course, candles. Fall tablescapes only truly require a few carefully selected items to create the perfect backdrop for your Fall Family Feasts!

Candles, Candles Everywhere!

As the Calfornia days bring slightly cooler weather, you’ll need a little more light in your house to lift your spirits. Gather tea lights, votives, and big glass jars of fall-scented candles. Don’t forget to blow them out before you turn in for the night!
